In Hawaiian, "Maile" refers to a sacred vine used in leis, symbolizing connection, blessings, and bonds between people.
Named after this, the "Maile Ukulele Strap" is a thin and supple ukulele strap featuring a fresh and striking range of colors, centered around a beautiful tropical green, reminiscent of the rich hues of nature. It gently connects you and your ukulele.
The "Maile Ukulele Strap" was developed in collaboration with ukulele player Yoshino Hanashiro.
From the width and length of the strap to the thickness and suppleness of the leather, numerous prototypes and evaluations were conducted to achieve optimal comfort during play, carefully balancing each element.
We also spent a long time selecting the leather, examining and touching countless materials at exhibitions to find something that fit the "Maile" aesthetic, beautifully harmonized with both the wearer and the ukulele, and featured colors that were fresh and made you want to wear them.
This strap embodies not only aesthetic beauty but also a focus on details that only a ukulele player would notice, and a comfort that makes you want to pick it up every day. It's a strap crafted with a lot of passion.
